Vice President spends Christmas with patients at Walewale Hospital

Patients on admission at the Walewale District Hospital received a surprise guest on Christmas Day when the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, paid an unannounced visit there.

Earlier in the day, Vice President Bawumia visited a number of health facilities in Walewale and its surrounding communities to deliver parcels of food and drinks to the patients and their relatives there.

The Vice President, who interacted with the people, said the essence of Christmas was sharing, noting that, it was right that the sick also enjoyed such moments, especially in the time of their need.Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia

Vice President Bawumia, while handing out the parcels in the Male, Female, Emergency and Maternity wards, extended words of comfort to them and congratulated the mothers who had just had babies.

The visibly elated patients and staff of the Hospital commended the Vice President for the humanitarian gesture.
