The Speaker Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu, has expressed sadness over last Tuesday night?s killing of his Special Adviser on Administration, Hon. Kinsley Nkemka, an aspirant for the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru federal House of Representatives seat.

The Speaker, who described the killing as barbaric, cruel, dastardly and unfortunate, noted that targeting politicians who are vying for elective positions, as it happened in Hon. Nkemka?s case was regrettable and condemnable.

In a statement yesterday in Owerri by his Senior Special Assistant on media, Mr. Emeka Ahaneku, the Speaker asserted that the killing of innocent persons cannot be justified under any guise and called for justice against the perpetrators of such gruesome killing.

He also enjoined the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies in the state to take radical and urgent steps to investigate and fish out the persons behind the heinous crime.

According to Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu, ?Our sympathy and condolences are with the family of Hon. Nkemka, their loved ones and the Mbaitoli\Ikeduru, people who were denied quality representation if he had won in 2015??, the statement read in parts.

The Speaker further prayed for the quick recovery of those that sustained various degrees of bullet injuries or were traumatized, as well as Nkemka?s immediate family, adding that God would give them the fortitude to bear the great loss
