The annual report that will be released at the end of this month aims at highlighting progress of implementing strategies against the scourge.

“We are briefing members of the civil society about last year’s progress as well as checking their involvement in partnership with the government to prevent HIV,” said Dr. Josefin Wiklundo, a Policy Advisor at UNAIDS.

She pointed out that meeting with the civil society does not only create opportunities to share challenges but also to cooperate and set the way forward.

According to the 2008-2009 national report, there was need to strengthen national capacity in providing HIV prevention services as well as building CSO`s capacity to work with the population.
