The executive secretary of the council, Rev Fr Silvestre Arinaitwe said the observers will gather information related to the tone of language used, composition of the people in the rallies, level of violence during the campaigns among other issues.

“We shall be there on the day of the elections too. Where we haven’t gotten enough money to do all the work we shall use the members of our churches to go and observe at different polling stations near their church” he said.

“We feel that Uganda is our country, Uganda is our own property so no one should take advantage of us. We must always do the work ourselves” Arinaitwe added.

Uganda goes to the polls on 18th February 2016.
