Ugandan social media personality Namulinde Diana, known online as Diana Skys, was found dead in her Kampala apartment on Wednesday following what police describe as aggravated robbery and murder by strangulation.

The 24 year old businesswoman and content creator was discovered in her Kyanja residence on February 4, 2026, after concerned friends checked on her when she failed to respond to communications, according to Kampala Metropolitan Police.

Police at Kira Road are investigating a case of aggravated robbery and murder by strangulation that occurred on the night of February 3, 2026, in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, Kawempe Division, said Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Public Relations Officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police.

Authorities arrested a security guard attached to the premises earlier on February 4 after he was found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen, with some recovered belongings later identified as property of the deceased.

Two additional suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations into the circumstances surrounding Diana’s death, according to official statements.

The body has been transferred to Mulago City Mortuary pending postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Diana, who also used the online aliases Karichwife and Nyash Maama, had amassed 175,000 followers on TikTok and over 70,000 followers on Instagram through content showcasing her lifestyle, beauty tutorials, and fashion.

The social media influencer was also known professionally as a makeup artist, fashion designer, and brand ambassador based in Uganda’s capital.

Friends and supporters held a night vigil at Nansana on Wednesday evening to honor her memory, with burial arrangements scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2026, according to reports from Galaxy 100.2 FM.

News of her death prompted widespread mourning across Ugandan social media platforms, with thousands of users paying tribute and offering condolences to her family.

The case highlights growing concerns about security in residential areas of Kampala, particularly for individuals living alone in apartment complexes.

Kampala Metropolitan Police have not disclosed whether additional suspects are being sought in connection with the investigation.
