A two-day National Delegates’ Conference of the United Cadres Front of Ghana (UCF-Ghana) has ended in Accra. The Conference, which attracted 50 delegates from across the regions, promulgated the Constitution of the UCF-Ghana to guide the operations of the cadre movement.
The occasion was also used to fine-tune the roadmap towards the election of substantive officers to lead the crusade of reorganization of the structures of the cadre front from the branch to national levels.
Solidarity messages from leading members of the cadre corps were delivered, including that of Hon. Sylvester Mensah, a former Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority on the topic “Commemorating June 4 – Integrating Cadres Into the NDC, the Perspective of a Cadre”.
In his closing remarks, the Chairman of the Interim Management Committee of the United Cadres Front of Ghana, Comrade Shine Gaveh, reiterated the need for cadres to continue to be committed and loyal to the National Democratic Congress as the only veritable socially oriented political party in Ghana. He urged cadres to stand united whilst patiently waiting for the release of the Prof. Botchwey Committee’s Report, the scrutiny of which would give proper direction towards the intended reorganization of the party.
He emphatically stated that cadres were not for any flagbearer’s aspirations but would work towards the total reorganization of the party first, and later think about who would really champion the course of reactivating the core values of the NDC into the mainstream of genuine politicking in the country.
