A UAE foreign ministry statement expressed “solidarity with the Pakistani government and people out of its firm position of rejecting all forms and manifestations of terrorism regardless of motivation and justification, wherever, whenever and by whomsoever they are committed.”


A suicide bomber hit a public park in Lahore on Sunday evening, killing at least 72 people as of Monday morning, including a large number of women and children, and injuring more than 300, according to Pakistani officials.

A Pakistan Taliban splinter group reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.

In the statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation highlighted its support for all measures Pakistan might deem necessary to protect its security and stability.

The statement also called for concerted efforts by the international community to work at eradicating all forms of terrorism. Enditem
