There has been no official information on the death toll but according to eyewitnesses, the attacks could have caused several deaths and injuries.
A suicide bomber, a man riding on a motorcycle carrying explosives, exploded his devices in front of the N’Djamena central police station which is situated a few meters from Chad’s Presidential Palace and French Embassy in Chad.
The national police school where the second attack occurred, is situated between the headquarters of the Constitutional Council and Chad-China Friendship Hospital.
The gates and the roads leading to the two sites were immediately barricaded by the army.
This is the first time the Chadian capital is witnessing such events. Even though the identity of the attackers has not yet been revealed, many observers in N’Djamena fear this could be the work of the Nigerian islamist sect, Boko Haram.
Since February 2015, Chad has been engaged in the fight against Boko Haram alongside other regional countries neighboring Nigeria. Enditem
