Many experts and representatives of different companies will flock to the event, held at Durban’s International Convention Centre from May 12 to 15, to discuss tourism in South Africa.

Approximately 1800 exhibitors are programmed to introduce their new products, reflecting the latest global trends in tourism, while the representatives of influential industry stakeholders along with over 200 international hosted buyers will be guests at the event.

The exhibition, in a bid to power the tourism industry, is to showcase various innovations and products from across the globe.

The program will include three speed marketing sessions focusing on sustainable and responsible tourism, heritage, cultural and adventure tourism.

“To be successful in the tourism industry requires the joint effort, hard work and cohesion of all partners to achieve continued tourism growth,” said South African Tourism CEO Thulani Nzima in a recent statement.

A recent report indicates that despite the general flat to downward trend in the worldwide tourism rate, South Africa’s tourism industry has been performing strongly.

Established in 1997, Indaba is considered as the largest incoming travel trade exhibition in Africa which takes place annually in Durban.
