Citi Business News has learnt three of the top management members of the Trust Bank (TTB) whose severance package payment was reversed last month following the bank’s acquisition by Ecobank have sued the two banks over the reversal of the payment.

The three, Nathan Akainyah, Osei Asafo-Adjei and Emmanuel Obeng-Adjei yesterday filed a suit at a labour court to court to get the banks to reverse the non-payment of their severance package.

It is unclear yet how much the three received but Ghc10million is reported to have been paid to top management of TTB who opted out of the takeover by Ecobank.

Between Ghc300,000 and Ghc2million were reported to have been credited to them. This was however reversed early this year.

Early on the acting managing director of TTB, Larry Yirenkyi-Boafo, who was interdicted over the issue, denied receiving the money.

Meanwhile though the Bank of Ghana was reported to have investigation the matter it is unclear whether the investigations have been completed.
