The suspects had the drugs concealed in sacks in a truck

Three persons belived to have smuggled drugs worth a sum of N50 million have been apprehended and paraded by the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Kaduna command.

While speaking to journalists in Katsina on Friday, Acting comptroller in charge of the command, Yusuf Umar said they were nabbed at Danzabuwa village of the sate, along Katsina-Kano Road.

The suspects had concealed the drugs in sacks and cottons in an articulated truck with registration number, XS 925 SMK.

?The seized drugs comprise Maxagrip cold caplet, Tramadol 100, Diarea Cure, Da Caps pain reliever capsules, Ivercin 5% for Animals and Gold Seal Cigarettes,” he said.

While commending collaborating security agencies for thier support to the command, he appealed to the general public not to hold back in giving information about smuggling and illegal activities whenever they are aware.

The suspect would be charged to court after investigation and the drugs would be turned over to National Food, Drugs Administration and Control Agency (NAFDAC) he said.
