The death toll of a building collapse that happened on Saturday in Cantonments, a suburb of Ghana’s capital Accra has risen to three, following the end of rescue operation.

The three included the owner of the collapsed structure, Prosper Adabla, who is first vice-president of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while the two others were believed to be workers.
The three-storey building under construction collapsed Saturday afternoon.

Prince Billy Anaglate, public relations officer for the Ghana National Fire Service, told local media that 12 survivors had been discharged after treatment as of Sunday afternoon while seven others were still receiving treatment at a local military hospital.
