Accra International School last Friday added its name to the winners of this year?s Nunu Sports Festival after defeating Gloria Mount Sinai in the final at the Kaneshie Complex.

It was Maa Sophia School that clinched the third position in a keenly-contested third-place game.

The winners took home trophies and certificates and products of Nunu Milk and Indomie Instant Noodles in the two-day thrilling sporting event arranged by Djan Wilteh & Associates.

Abubakari Commodore from Royal Gospel School distinguished himself in the boys? soccer event to emerge the Most Valuable Player.

Mega International School finished first in the girls soccer competition, while Accra International School placed second.

Djan Wilteh & Associates CEO Emmanuel Ola Williams, in a post-event interview said, ?Gradually we are getting there. The level of enthusiasm from the kids is something else. We hope to maintain the momentum to realize our aim of unearthing talents at the grass roots as well as revive colts football in the country.?

Kwahu Mpraeso in the Eastern Region will host this week?s edition beginning today to Friday, with about 20 primary and 30 Junior High and 15 Senior High schools battling for honours.

The program is being sponsored by Nunu Milk, Indomie Instant Noodles and Blue Crest (NIIT).
