Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Friday, suspended six of its members for engaging in anti-party activities.

In a statement  signed by the chairman of the party, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa, the party took the decision at the State Working Committee meeting, following the recommendations from the Ife Central Local Government chapter of the PDP.

The statement quoted Section 58 (1) g and h of the PDP Constitution which stipulates that members should not engage in disorderly conduct at meetings or rallies, also they are not to engage in any conduct likely to cause disaffection among members of the party.

It further contended that the suspended members engaged in acts of indiscipline after results of the last Saturday?s primaries for House of Assembly were announced.

The suspended members are: Mr Taiwo Adebusola, Femi Oke, Adewusi Adebimpe, Bunmi Opabunmi, Dele Olowokere and Ayodeji Yussuf.

The statement further posited that the members are to remain suspended until the disciplinary committee of the party makes further recommendations on their matter.?
