In an industry where only the loudest survives, a fair number of musicians have stepped up to the microphone and put out lyrics, which seek to indict other players. There are so many reasons why artistes take to diss songs at some point in their career. We look at some Ghanaian diss songs released over the years.

?Killer Bewu Last Show? ? Kwaw Kese

Targeted K.O.D and JON GERMAIN; the ?man insane? went in hard on his former manager and Germain as well with not-so pleasant invectives. Reason? He believed the two were bad-mouthing him to other industry players.

?Letter to Iwan? ? Shatta Wale

Iwan was at the receiving end of this Shatta Movement letter, and Shatta Wale, wanting to be fair to the Gideon Force (IWAN?s movement), urged him to reply if he felt offended.

?You Want It? ? Shatta Wale

When Shatta Wale including many other dancehall artists couldn?t make it onto the Mavado Concert stage hosted by Samini, he singlehandedly released a diss song to send the ?Time Bomb? hitmaker to the cleaners.

?Maba?? X Doe

X Doe and Chicago were two good friends until one fine morning when the former decided to release ?Maba?, describing Chicago?s as an ungrateful being. Chicago couldn?t just keep mute so fired he back with ?Wobe Kor?.

?Kasiebo? featuring Guru ? Obrafour

Obour and Okyeame Kwame were targeted and left clutching at straws when Obrafour and Guru put out Kasiebo. Was it staged?

FOKN BOIS ?Thank God We Are Not a Nigerians

When the Foes of Kwame Nkrumah (FOKN) thanked God they weren?t Nigerians, most Nigerians didn?t take it lightly. They swore to revenge. It never came. If it even did, it wasnt as loud as ?Thank God we are not A Nigerians?.

?No more Kpayor? & ?Fylla? ? Asem

A song believed to be targeted at Tema-based artistes, ?No More Kpayor? sparked controversy across the industry. Two quick rebuttals, ?T.E.M.A? and ?Fair Warning? featuring R2BEES and Sarkodie, were released to register their readiness for a possible artistic showdown.

Yaa Pono, a Tema-based act did a re-fix of Asem?s ?Fylla ?where he sang about the latter?s alleged rape case that nearly crippled his career.
