A statement by the Directorate of Presidential Communication at State House in the commercial capital Dar es Salaam named the new appointed director of election as Wilson Charles, a mathematician by profession.

Before his new appointment, Charles was Arumeru district administrative director in the northern tourist region of Arusha.

The appointment of the new director of election for the National Electoral Commission was made one year ahead of the country’s general election slated for October 2020.

The statement added that President Magufuli has also appointed Wilbert Ibuge as the new chief of protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation. Enditem
