The TAN delegation which was headed by the duo of Barr Benchuks Nwosu and the Anambra state coordinator of the group, Chief Chuma Nwofor was received at the Jalingo airport by the state governor, Alhaji Sanni Abubakar Danladi.

Barr Nwosu in his messagge of hope during the reception pointed out that insurgency and other civil strive in the country is an evil wind which can not blow any good to anybody. He stressed the need for all Nigerians to always see themselves as one not minding their religious and ethnic inclinations. He called on the politicians to desist from harping on sentimental issues that easily divides the peace loving Nigerians even as he urged all the political office seekers to base their campaigns on issues and avoid playing to the gallery.

He however called on all the good people of this country to always see one another as brothers and sisters and ensure that crises are resolved through jaw-jaw and not war-war, this according to him is more so because no religion actually support blood letting .

The TAN’s boss pointed out that the international political advocacy group is fully aware of the difficulties and challenges the Internally Displaced Persons are facing and as such decided to alleviate their sufferings by making the relief materials available to the victims.

Earlier the Taraba state governor, Alhaji Sanni Abubakar Danladi in his welcome address commended the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) for taking political advocacy to an unprecedented level.

He pointed out that the group has indeed become a beautiful bride every Nigerians want to associate with, which he noted became evidence when close to eighteen million Nigerians signed up for Dr Goodluck Jonathan’s reelection bid.

Gov. Danladi said that the TAN’s display of human kindness to those in dire need of relief materials has again proved beyond every reasonable doubt that the group is very responsive and responsible.

The governor, accompanied by the former governor Rev Jolly Nyame and other dignitaries urged other groups in the country to emulate the TAN example of giving hope to the hopeless.

The distribution of the relief materials to the displaced individuals was anchored by the Chief of Staff to the governor, Alhaji Aminu Jika and the TAN team.

Mrs Aminat Murtala, a beneficiary who is a mother of five thanked the political NGO for its interest in the victims of insurgents. She said that the TAN’s intervention was the first of its kind as people always pay lip service to the issue of displaced persons while enjoying their comfort zones.
