Sundowns-bound Rashid Sumaila suffered a neck injury

Sumaila?s Injury Concerns Sundowns

The neck injury sustained by Mamelodi Sundowns-bound Rashid Sumaila should be a concern for the Premier Soccer League side.

The centre-back picked up the injury after violent attacks on Asante Kotoko players by irate fans of Berekum Arsenal after last Sunday?s Ghana Premier League match.

Sumaila had a cut on the back side of his neck from the broken glasses of the windscreens of the Kotoko team bus.

The 21-year-old has since been treated by the Kotoko medical team and his situation being monitored.

He signed a five-year deal with the Brazilians in February this year and will join the club next month.

The Ghana international is on loan at Kotoko from Ebusua Dwarfs.
