Sulley Muntari?s reported letter of apology to the Ghana Football Association over his conduct at the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup has been returned to him by his relative, according to reports by Daily Soccer Ghana.

The 30-year-old AC Milan star reportedly conveyed his apology in a letter through his ?relative? Mohammed Sulley to the Black Stars Management Committee chief George Afriyie over his bad-behaviour during Ghana?s botched World Cup campaign almost a year ago.

But Afriyie denied receiving any letter from the former Sunderland star in a radio interview on Accra-based Peace FM.

However reports on Daily Soccer Ghana on Saturday morning claim Mohammed has returned the letter to Italy after failing to deliver it to George Afriyie.

The Ghana Football Association has emphatically stated that Muntari would not be readmitted to the Black Stars until he officially apologises for his conduct.

Muntari is yet to officially comment on the reports as to whether he has issued an apology in writing.

He has not played for Ghana after being sacked from Ghana?s camp in Brazil along with Schalke 04 misfit Kevin-Prince Boateng.
