Speaking in an interview with journalists at her office, Mrs. Beatrice Boateng-Sampong, Headmistress, said the school founded sometime January, 1991 as Demonstration Junior Secondary School, during the 1987 Educational Reform is faced with a lot of challenges, despite some achievements.

She called for additional classrooms and dormitories to ease congestion, so as to promote teaching and learning.

Mrs Boateng-Sampong stated that the old staff hall could no longer accommodate the teachers and therefore, the personnel are not able to monitor the movement of students effectively especially those in the boarding facilities.

According to her, there is the need for spacious school library and ICT, store room for food items and a sick bay.

The Headmistress was emphatic that school buses is in dire need, to help facilitate educational trips and sporting activities, in order to avoid engaging commercial vehicles which used to be highly expensive.

Mrs Boateng-Sampong appealed for the supply of power plant to be used during electric power outages.

She said the Home Economics block had turned into a death trap and needs renovation.
