This is one of the activities undertaken in connection with the company being recognized by the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) as the PR Company of the Year and its Chief Executive Officer as the PR Personality of the Year 2013.

The training, under the theme, Communication as a tool for business growth, was held at the Stratcomm Africa office in Accra. The Stratcomm Africa “Great Expectations” product seeks to equip small and medium scale enterprises with effective communication skills for growing their businesses.

Welcoming the participants to the training session, the President of IPR, Ms. Elaine Sam applauded Stratcomm Africa for the initiative and added, “I am really excited to see that young women are more than ready to start a business on their own and are willing to learn the value of communication to growing it”.

The training which was facilitated by a team of Stratcomm Africa communication professionals led by Ms. Esther A. N. Cobbah, the Chief Executive, touched on different aspects of communication, including branding, advertising, marketing and public relations. She said, “Entrepreneurs must appreciate the essence of effective internal and external communication to help their businesses thrive in this competitive business environment”. Members from the company’s Brands & Advertising Department, also took the participants through basic communication principles and worked with the entrepreneurs to understand the need to build a brand that stays alive in the hearts and minds of customers.

Commenting on the training, Vera Adu Amani, Founder of Adu Amani Fashion line said, “I needed this training to grow and expand my business. I have come to realize the many business benefits of effective communication”.

The eight participants in the training session were drawn from The African Network of Entrepreneurs (TANOE).
