Storm Stars Academy FC also beat Migthy Krobo Youth 5-3 on penalties to win the under-13 category of the of the competition, after the match ended one all in regulation time.

wpid-Ghanaleaguetrophy1.jpgIn the semi-finals of the under-15 division , Dreams Academy lost 4-2 Storm Stars on penalties, whilst Young Kotoko had a walk over after their opponents Action Boys pulled out due to a protest.

Mighty Krobo Youth beat Action Boys on penalties 4-2 in the under-13 semi-finals and Storm Stars won by a lone goal against Young Kotoko in the other semi-finals.

Osaberima Enyine Asiedu Okoo Ababio III, Chief of Larteh Akuapem urged club administrators to encourage juvenile players and guide them to progress steadily to the national teams.

Mr Abdul Lawal, Chairman of the Eastern Regional Football Association said, he is encouraged by the kind of football displayed by the young players and assured that, the Regional Football Association would encourage people to organize similar tournaments to give more opportunities to the young players.

Mr Jonathan Awuku, Welfare Manager of Storm Stars Academy said, management of the club decided to organize the tournament in honour of Osaberima Enyine to help promote juvenile football in the Eastern Region.

Storm Stars took home trophies in both the under-13 and 15 division and two boxes of Milo products.

The runners up in the under-13 and 15 category were also given boxes of Milo products each.

In all eight juvenile clubs across the region comprising 16 teams in both the under-13 and 15 divisions participated in the three days gala event.
