At a recently held ‘6th Ghana Industry and Quality Awards- 2017’ function organized by the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Sterling International Ltd was adjudged “Best Company in the Chemical Sector”.

His Excellency Nana Akufo- Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, was the Guest of Honour at the Award ceremony which was held at the State Banquet Hall on 11th November, 2017

The Ceremony was organized to celebrate and honour member Companies for quality made in Ghana products whilst marking the 59th year of AGI and 60th Anniversary of Ghana’s Independence.

Sterling International Ltd came out at the top from all the shortlisted Companies in Chemical Sector, after a process of vetting and evaluation by the AGI Awards Technical Committee consisting of experts from CSIR, GSA and the Ministry of Trade and Industries.

Sterling International has received several Gold and Platinum awards since 2011 from Ghana Export Promotion Authority ( GEPA) for export excellence and repatriation of highest export proceeds in Ghana from Exports. The Company has been cited consistently for manufacturing best quality Automotive Refinish paints, Marine, Protective, Industrial Coatings, adhesives and sealants for the export market.

His Excellency the President of the Republic, accompanied by the Honourable Mr. Allan Kyeremateng, Minister of Trade & Industries and his deputy Honourable Mr. Ahomka- Lindsey, who delivered the keynote address stated that the government had engaged AGI in discussions on a partnership in rolling out the One District One Factory programme aimed at value addition to our raw materials, generate employment and reduce poverty in the rural communities.

Mr. James Asare-Adjei, President of AGI commended the Award winners for their achievements. He also commended the Ghana Standards Authority for extending a helping hand to the Association to ensure that international quality standards are met by our Local Industries.

In a comment, Mr Arun Patil expressed his attitude to the Association of Ghana Industries for the recognition and honor done to the company and attributed the achievement to pursuit of Research and Development, excellent team work and Quality Assurance.
