State Attorneys have called off their three-month old strike after talks with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

They have promised that they will deal swiftly with all pending cases at the court, left unattended to due to the strike.

The President of the Association of State Attorneys, Francisca Tetteh Mensah told Starr News, they will aggregate all pending cases and head to the courts to begin full scale prosecution.

“We are calling off the legal strike based on the written commitment from His Excellency that the award which is our heart desire will be enforced for us to have conditions  of service. The details of the award is that we used to be on the old CAP 13 which has been repealed and we need to be on a new pension scheme.”

Meanwhile, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice-designate Gloria Akuffo is expected to meet the leadership of the attorneys on Tuesday for talks to continue.
