Mr Ian Anderson, the Head of Group Special Assets Management of Standard Chartered Bank, would pay a two-day working visit to Ghana from Monday, June 6.

Mr Anderson, who is based in London, is responsible for the management of distressed accounts across the Standard Chartered Bank Group through a team of dedicated restructuring professionals.

A statement from the bank said while in Ghana, Mr Anderson would interact with clients and hold an engagement with a cross-section of senior managers of the bank.

It said the visit underscored the importance of the country to the group and its commitment to invest in Africa.

Mr Anderson has over 20 years experience in managing distressed assets through his roles at a number of global financial institutions including Morgan Stanley and Royal Bank of Canada and as Managing Director of Institutional Recovery Management at Citi in Hong Kong.

This is in addition to his experience at the accountancy firm Price Waterhouse Coopers where he was a partner in the debt advisory and restructuring group from 2009 delivering complex global projects across the client base.

Mr Anderson joined Standard Chartered Bank in 2014.
