South African President Jacob Zuma on Monday called on the Southern African Development Community (SADC) to establish its regional parliament to help advance regional integration agenda.

Zuma was speaking at the SADC Parliamentary Forum (SADC-PF), taking place in Zimbali, KwaZulu-Natal Province.
One of the areas where concrete support could be provided by the SADC Regional Parliament is through advocacy and to encourage adherence to the objectives of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), he said.

South Africa, Zuma said, encourages the work of the SADC-PF in ensuring policy harmonisation and alignment between member states in the region. Enditem
