The Minority Leader was speaking on Joy FM Super Morning Show today, Tuesday December 29, 2015.

wpid-selassieibrahim.jpgAccording to him, government has failed to do due diligence and threw caution to the wind considering the scandal Smarttys Productions is involved in in the 3.9 million cedis rebranding contract which is yet to be settled.

“We believe government should have exercised much caution at a time when Smarttys is embroiled in a scandalous 3.9 million cedis rebranding contract,” he said.

In all these, Osei-Kyei Mensah-Bonsu is calling for a review of $98 million deal so as to ensure value for money.

Mr Osei Kyei-Mensa-Bonsu said any company or firm associated with Mrs Ibrahim, the embattled CEO of Smarrty’s Management Limited must not be considered for the rural electrification contract, as well as any other contract, until she has been investigated for the GHS3.6 million bus branding scandal.

“We are willing to come back on [the various contracts] …we will be firmed on that, we will attend to that,” he said.

He also accused the Majority in the House of using their numbers to push the deal through.
