The NPP chief scribe Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, [Sir John] is in hot waters, this time most of his party?s Members of Parliament want him exited from his position because of his demeanor and style of leadership.

Some high profile members and some Members of Parliament of the party that this Paper spoke to share the same sentiment about his demeanor with regards to his ?unhealthy? engagement with NDC?s chief scribe, Asiedu Nketia during and after the Supreme Court petition case.

?We in NPP come from a tradition that is so respected for our decent sense of reasoning reacting to issues in answering our opponents. Ours is not the insulting and castigating type. We trade in decorous demeanor because that has been our trade mark? they claimed.

By the anger of some of the big wigs of the party with regards to Sir John?s reaction to issues is an indication that they are not at home with the push and pull method being used by him, and this they think has adversely affected the party?s image.

One Member of Parliament stated ?I am not saying he is not competent in all fields, but my problem is his way of politicking. He can be good in some fields but certainly not in the area of politics that needs, tact, diplomacy, good communication skills, vigilance and decorum.?

How can you trail Asiedu Nketia, a man who is skilful in setting traps? Sir John should behave like a real educated lawyer for above reproach? the MP said.

So far, the race for the position is becoming hotter and hotter between Yaw Buaben Asamoah, Kwabena Agyepong, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie [Sir John and Captain [rtd.] Nkrabea Effah Dartey, with the latter tipped to win.
