The ?Director of State Security (DSS), Police and Customs services in Osun State, ?has said that political parties have lost control of their members.

They said that was responsible for continuous political violence and crisis being witnessed in the state.

They spoke at a stakeholders meeting, which has all the security operatives and political parties at present on Thursday.

During the meeting held at ?the Nigerian Police Force headquarters in Osogbo, a peace accord was signed.

Osun DSS Director, Mr. Andrew Ioraka, frowned at the violence caused by political gladiators in the state.dt

He said, “Leaders of political parties are not in control of their members, and anytime the establishment called a meeting majority of them would not responded to the call.”?

He assured the people of the state that any perpetrator of violence would be brought to book.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone X1, which comprises of Oyo,Ondo and Osun, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye, called on the political parties and the gladiators contesting for the 2015 general election to be law abiding.

He warned “all the political parties to control there supporter’s and desist from any act of violence”.

Assistant Comptroller of Prison Service, Mr Kayode Adelakun, noted ?that the prison gate would be opened for anybody that does not abide by the rules and regulations.

He also emphasised that ?”all parties leaders must ensure that supporters are not to involved in any violence act in this coming general election”.

The political parties after signing pact commended the security agencies for the initiative and assured that they would ensure a peace election.
