wpid-Ghana-school-children.jpgMs Hannah Buckman, Shama District Director of Education, has advised school children to devote much of their time to learning, since that would help prepare them to occupy high positions in the future.

She said there was time for every thing, adding that this was the time for them to shift focus from disruptive activities such as lateness, bad company and absenteeism.

Ms Buckman made these remarks at the 57th Independence Anniversary parade organised by the Shama District Assembly at Shama in the Western Region.

It was under the Theme: Building a Better and Prosperous Ghana through Patriotism and National Unity.

Mr. Enoch Appiah, Shama District Chief Executive called for unity among Ghanaians, to advance the development agenda of the country.

He further urged them to refrain from indulging in corrupt practices.

Mr. Appiah paid glowing tribute to our forefathers for their sacrifices to secure independence for the nation. GNA
