Schalke 04 have hatched a plan to frustrate Kevin-Prince Boateng potential move to Galatasary as they would allow him to spent the final year of his contract with the club, rather than letting him on a free transfer, according to German newspaper Bild.

The 28-year-old has been frozen out of the team following a frosty relationship with the club?s top hierarchy.

Boateng is now on a lookout for a new club with Turkish side Galatasary and AC Milan believed to be the front runners for his signature.

But German newspaper Bild, have revealed the Gelesnkirchen outfit will not release him until he sees out the remainder of his contract which runs out till 2016 even if it means he stays inactive during the period.

The move is to avert a situation where he will leave on a free transfer without the club recouping the investment made when they bought him from AC Milan.

The news will come as a massive blow to both Galatasary and AC Milan who are keen on the former Tottenham Hotspur box-to-box midfielder.

The Ghanaian was handed an indefinite suspension alongside Sidney Sam following a crushing defeat to Koln.
