Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie brings his celebrated Rapperholic concert to London’s Royal Albert Hall this Friday, March 6, 2026, in what will be the first international staging of the flagship show since it was born in Ghana 13 years ago.

All 5,272 seats at the iconic London venue have been completely filled, selling out in just one week after tickets went on sale, a milestone Sarkodie marked publicly by thanking fans with a social media message saying “You guys gassed me up.”

For those who could not secure tickets, the show will be accessible worldwide via a dedicated livestream, making Friday night’s performance reachable well beyond the British capital.

The date carries layered significance. March 6 is Ghana’s Independence Day, marking 69 years since the country became the first sub-Saharan African nation to gain independence from colonial rule. The show also falls on the eve of International Women’s Day weekend, with organisers promising a strong female presence in the evening’s programming and an atmosphere that extends beyond a standard concert into cultural celebration.

Originally launched as an annual concert inspired by Sarkodie’s 2012 BET Award-winning album Rapperholic, the event has grown into one of Ghana’s most significant music experiences, featuring thousands of fans, top artists, and performances that have become cultural highlights on the entertainment calendar. Sarkodie is expected to bring a surprise lineup of guests to the Royal Albert Hall stage, though no names have been confirmed ahead of the show.

Born Michael Owusu Addo in Tema, Sarkodie has accumulated over 80 awards across his career and has collaborated with artists including Stonebwoy, King Promise, Black Sherif, Oxlade, Idris Elba, and Vic Mensa, among many others. His Sarkodie Foundation has also transformed the lives of thousands of underprivileged children in his community since its inception in 2013.

Doors at the Royal Albert Hall open at 6:30 PM London time, with the show starting at 7:30 PM.
