Ndejje’s Felix Sang has joined National champions Nkumba University as the Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) transfer window closed yesterday.

The power attacker, who was not a regular on the Ndejje team list, is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations at Nkumba University where he has completed his first semester.

“I am glad he (Sang) joined us. Our team will benefit greatly from him,” said Nkumba’s coach-player Tony Lakony.

Nkumba’s men’s side will walk into the league with pretty much the same team after captain Dickens Otim disputed rumours he would leave the side.
Otim confirmed he is staying with the university team, whose female counterparts have been hit really hard.

Hellen Namazzi and Tina Nakaggwa have abandoned the champions for Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC).

Nkumba have also been allowed to hold further talks regarding captain Viviene Aketch, Proscovia Alobo and Jackie achieng who all want to join Kampala City Council Volleyball club (KCCVC) after their contracts with Nkumba expired.

Elsewhere, KAVC have recruited Godfrey Kiwumulo from Uganda Christian University. The latter side also lost Tom Amou to Nemo Stars.
