?Beacon House, an Accra-based orphanage is the latest orphanage to benefit from Samsung Ghana Community Care Programme, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Samsung that identifies and supports orphanages in the country. Beacon House was supported with 20 cartons of infant formulae to children of the Home. Samsung?s Community Care Programme has supported over ten orphanages in the Upper East, Northern and Ashanti regions respectively, during the Christmas season.

The memorable event was held at the forecourt of Beacon House in Accra. Sangbaek Kim, Managing Director for Samsung Ghana explained that; ?The initiative forms part of Samsung?s commitment to making significant impact in the lives of people in the communities where it operates.?

He reiterated; ?We want to put smiles on the faces of the children and ease the troubles administrators and caretakers of the orphanages go through in trying to vend for these wonderful children. We are very excited to render this intervention?.

He concluded that: We strongly believe that these children have great future and they need our support. This is why we also believe that our gesture is in the right direction. We want them to grow up, strong, healthy and fit. We are not completely tied to the business of making profits, we are a caring brand that seeks opportunities to add values to the lives of people around us and help them in their aspirations to becoming a pride to society.

The Director of Beacon House, Romana Testa) expressed her gratitude to Samsung for the kind gesture. ?This is very timely. We are very grateful to Samsung for this support. It could not have come at a better time?.
