For the last few months a number of BBM faithful have been awaiting the launch of the official messenger application on Android and iPhone. While BlackBerry maintains it will come by the end of summer and recently introduced an invite-only beta, CNET is reporting that Samsung Africa has revealed that BBM was Android will hit Samsung Android smartphones like Galaxy S4 in Africa and will be a part of Samsung?s messenger hub.

Still no official date has been revealed, it has been stated that the app will be available from the Google Play store free soon. The app will support BBM chats and groups of up to 30 people.

Of course, BlackBerry has been forced to launch the app on competing platforms due to rise of third party instant messaging services like Whats App, WeChat, Line and Hike. Additionally, there are also apps like Google?s Hangouts, the Facebook messenger and Apple?s iMessage that are gaining ubiquity day by day. (BGR.IN)
