Rwanda and Mauritius Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate cooperation in education in Kigali, capital city of Rwanda.

The MoU on sharing expertise and good education practices formalizes already existing cooperation between the two country’s higher education regulatory authorities, said Executive Director of Rwanda’s Higher Education Council Emmanuel Muvunyi after the signing ceremony.

Sid Nair, the Executive Director of the Tertiary Education Commission of Mauritius, said the next step is to develop an action plan indicating the planned activities over the next five years.

“We hope to follow up on those actions that we shall have agreed on and move forward as we strive to raise the quality of higher education,” said the director. Enditem
