Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, known professionally as Rudeboy, has dismissed as false viral social media claims that the woman who accused him of sexual misconduct has been sentenced to prison.
Reports spread widely on social media on Thursday, March 5, claiming that the X user known as ChubbieDivah had been handed a prison term. Responding on his Instagram Stories, the former P-Square member flatly rejected the claims, writing: “This is fake!!! Very fake news.”
A screenshot also circulated purportedly showing Rudeboy mocking the woman over the alleged sentence. He denied posting it, describing the screenshot as completely fabricated.
The saga traces back to September 23, 2025, when comments under birthday posts for the singer’s wife, Ifeoma, escalated into accusations. The X user, identified in court documents as Ayomide Agboola, was subsequently arrested on November 6, 2025 and formally charged in court on November 10, 2025.
She was released on medical grounds shortly after detention, and has since failed to appear in court on multiple adjourned dates, with her lawyer citing ongoing health issues.
As of the time of publication, no court has issued a verified sentencing judgment in the matter, and the case appears to remain ongoing.
