The educational investment project is the Rotary Club of Accra’s flagship initiative among projects executed in the 2015/2016 Rotary year.

Mr Johnson Dweben, the President of the Rotary Club of Accra Dzorwulu, who unveiled the edifice at a ceremony, explained that through the Accra Club educational investment within the Dzorwulu Community more kids would be offered the opportunity to enter kindergarten in the neighbourhood.

He said the investment in the Dzorwulu basic school infrastructure also seeks to bridge the educational gap in the middle-class community dotted with high class private schools.

“We have raised the standard of the school to afford the underprivileged a chance to school at an early stage,” he said.

Mr Dweben noted that early childhood education allows children a quick start and good foundation with the requisite learning skills.

“Our club seeks to empower the community we are serving through our six focus strategies which are education, health, water and sanitation, mother and child health, peace building, basic literature and disease prevention.

“This year, we have organised a blood donation exercise at the Achimota Lorry Station, health screening at Madina market, Dzorwulu community football gala, a donation to the Dzorwulu Leprosarium, training for inmate of the Senior Correctional Centre, and STI for Labone Senior High School,” he said.
He said the Rotary Club of Accra Dzorwulu classifies education as the key foundation for progressive future for all youth.

Mr Kusi Huctfil, Accra-Dworwulu District Director of Education through the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service has done a lot in the educational Sector.
