Rory McIlroy admits he is peaking at just the right time as he prepares for this week?s BMW PGA Championship. The world number one claimed his second PGA Tour title of the season on Sunday with a comfortable victory in the Wells Fargo Championship.

It was the Northern Irishman?s second triumph at Quail Hollow and came shortly after he won the WGC-Cadillac Match Play Championship title. It has been an incredible start to the campaign for the four-time major winner as he was runner-up in Abu Dhabi before winning the Omega Dubai Desert Classic on the European Tour.

A missed cut at the Honda Classic did not faze the 26-year-old, who then finished ninth in the WGC ? Cadillac Championship and 11th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational before claiming fourth at the Masters.
