Nearly two months after receiving a bone marrow transplant in September 2012, Robin Roberts suffered a setback that forced her to return to the hospital ? just before Thanksgiving Day.

Now, approaching the one-year anniversary of the alarming health scare, Robin opens up to?Closer Weekly, sharing her excitement as Turkey Day approaches once again. ?I am looking forward to having a healthier holiday season I will be able to enjoy!” the beloved?Good Morning America?co-host tells?Closer,?on newsstands now.

Enjoyment seems to have been the theme of Robin?s life ever since her procedure for the rare blood disorder myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). While she admits that her health woes ? which include a 2007 diagnosis of breast cancer ? do ?stay with you a bit,? Robin remains positive and firmly focused on the future.

?I?m not going to worry about it,? she insists in her interview with the mag. ?You face the battles as they come.? Fortunately, she isn?t facing those battles alone. Robin tells?Closer?that she draws from her older sister, Sally-Ann, who was her bone marrow donor. ?It?s amazing to see how far she has come in a year,? Sally-Ann shares with?Closer. ?I am so happy to see her smiling and radiating a glow. She is so strong.?
