PORT HARCOURT- PEOPLES Democratic Party, PDP, has commiserated with victims of the recent petrol tanker fire at Igwuruta, Rivers State, which claimed the lives of six persons and burnt about 25 houses.

Describing the incident as sad and painful, Chairman of Rivers State chapter of the party, Chief Godspower Ake, said the party was deeply touched by the losses.

He said: The PDP in Rivers State is saddened by the tragic fire incident at Igwuruta in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, which led to the loss of lives and property. We are more saddened that the fire wiped out an entire family, which had gone to bed for the night after what must have been a hard day’s work.

“We share in the sorrow of the entire community, affected families and relations, the government and people of the state.”
