Ghana?s Right To Dream Academy Finish In Top 10 Of 20-team International Youth Tournament

Ghana?s Right to Dream Academy will finish in the top 10 of the World finals of the Manchester Premier Cup tournament.

The RtD U15 team finished the tournament played in Manchester in 9th place haven lost to AC Milan in their final Group B clash.

The team had started on the bright note ? thrashing Shandong Luneg 9-0 but drew 1-1 with Dynamo Zagreb and goalless againt Boca Juniors.

The latter results ensured the Ghanaian team?s failure to make the knockout stage of the international youth competition.

Umar Kenya?s side however accounted for Manchester United and Japanese club Omiya Ardija to secure a spot within the first 10 teams in the competition.

RtD?s group opponent?s Dynamo Zagrab and AC Milan eventually made it to the finals with the Croatian club winning the ultimate against the Italian club in a fiestly contested game played at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Africa?s other representative at the tournament South Africa?s Rosina Sedibane took the 19th  position after beating Onehunga Sports from New Zealand 2-0.

RtD still holds the record as the most successful African Under-15 football team in recent years, by achieving four top eight finishes in the Premier Cup.

Over 8,000 teams participated in the qualifiers for the World Finals of the Manchester Premier Cup with only 20 teams securing qualification to the finals.
