The 32nd International Bike Tour of Faso kicked off in Burkina Faso on Friday, with 90 riders from 13 countries participating.

Slated to end on November 3, the ten-stage tour is 2,270 km long across ten regions of Burkina Faso. It also includes a biking foray in Dapaong, a northern city of in Burkina Faso’s neighboring country Togo.

The 90 riders in fifteen teams, from 13 African and European countries, started the competition under tight security.

Riders have come from nine African countries, including Algeria, Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, Togo, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire and Rwanda, as well as four European countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. Enditem
