The residents of Tetegu in the Weija Gbawe Municipality have appealed to the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Madam Tina Ayeley Mensah to help provide some social amenities to communities.

They said the community lacked public schools, health centres, a Police Station, motorable roads among other facilities.

Nii Kofi Kumah, the Chief of Tetegu in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said he has made lands available for development projects, but because they remained fallow, some people were encroaching on them.

Nii Kumah said the lack of basic schools, especially had compelled the pupils in the community to take the risk to cross the Mallam-Kasoa highway to attend school in other communities.

He, therefore, appealed to the MP to help provide the area with those basic amenities.
