The 21-year-old joined the Citizens in February 2011 from the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana.

He was however immediately loaned out to Norwegian club Stromsgodset to aid his development as a budding star.

Nuhu after making his professional debut has gone on to play 35 games in the Norwegian top flight with a goal to his name.

His sterling performance in Norway earned him his first call up to the Ghana national team where he made his Black Stars debut in an international friendly match against China last August.

Nuhu has now signed a three-year extension to his contract which guarantees his stay with the English champions until 2016.

The left-back could return to Man City to fight for a regular first team place when his current loan deal at Stromsgodset expires at the end of the season.
