Rahim Ayew believes Ghana can overcome Sudan test

Rahim Ayew Confident Of Stars Triumph Over Sudan

Ghana midfielder Rahim Ayew is confident the Black Stars will defeat Sudan in Friday?s 2014 World Cup qualifier to enhance their qualification chances.

The Black Stars must win against the Nile Crocodiles in Omdurman to keep alive their qualification hopes.

But Sudan, who are at the foot of Group D are aiming to play spoiler roles despite losing heavily in the first-leg in Kumasi last month.

However Rahim  believes Kwesi Appiah?s men can overcome the North Africans.

?I know how difficult qualifiers can be and especially when it?s an away game, but for the Black Stars the main aim is to go to Brazil, so I believe they will do themselves proud,? the Lierse SK versatile defender told Goal Ghana.

?What I hope they do is to get an early goal which will put a lot of pressure on Sudan and force them to open up and that?s when Ghana can capitalise on it and get more goals.?

Ghana thrashed Sudan 4-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium and could leapfrog Zambia to go top if they manage victory at the Al-Merreikh Stadium.
