DCOP Atingani warned that they would not hesitate to ruthlessly

deal with those who defied the law to ensure order in the society.

The new police stations are at Asiri and Kokoa, both in the

Jaman North District and close to the Ghana-Cote d? Ivoire border. These

would provide adequate security cover for people in eight other 10

communities.

The Regional Commander reminded officers posted there to

comport themselves and demonstrate high level of professionalism to win

the confidence of the people.

He praised the communities for providing the structures and

said security was a shared responsibility and required active

contribution of all.

DCOP Atingani noted that the strong police presence at Asiri

and Kokoa would significantly ease pressure on the Goka station, which

had been serving a population in excess of 10,000.

He advised the people to avoid chieftaincy disputes, saying,

they should cherish peace and work together to bring development.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Christopher Tawiah,

the Regional Public Relations Officer, urged public support to fight

crime.
