She also called on the Inspector General of Police, Mr. John Kudalor, to as a matter of urgency provide police protection at the palace of the Wulomo to help keep the place safe from thugs, who have attacked and caused harm to residents and destroyed properties.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra, the priestess appealed to the world to help save her palace and children adding that “I am a woman and a mother”. She expressed her worry following the ransacking of the palace by suspected thugs believed to have been led by one Nii Adu Aryeetey and Ayi Wassa.

She narrated how the suspected thugs attacked the palace with cutlasses and machetes and other weapons even though an earlier attack was reported at the James Town Police station.

“They attacked my priest (Wulomo) with broken bottles and cutlasses and he was admitted at the Police Hospital at Osu. I cannot even step foot at the palace because of the warnings and threats of harm issued by the thugs” she said.

Naa Afia Ansah said it is important that the chief of police and the Interior Minister provided security for the Korle Wulomo and the palace at Anamrokor Korle We at usher Forts in Accra
