Preaching on the Bible Verse Colossians 3:23-24, he advised the Singing Band Unions that whatever they do they should do it with all their heart, as working for the Lord and not men. Since they know that they will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward and they should remember it is the Lord Christ they are serving.

The National Office was renovated at a cost of GH200,000 raised by the committee at interest free loan. Apart from providing a place as National Office it will also provide a room as store where files can be kept.

According to Rev. Dr. Samuel Ayete, Christian unions should look beyond providing facilities that provide service to only union members but should also ventures into areas that will benefit all church members and all Ghanaians as a whole. Also, he congratulate the singing band union for their initiatives and also bringing some revival into the Presbyterian Church.

In an interview with the National President of the Ghana Presbyterian Singing Band Union, Nana Ofori Amanfo Diatuo I, he said, it was his vision to renovate their abandoned national office when he assumed office as the national President.

He revealed to this reporter that their next project as a union is to buy a bus, ”Since 1956 we formed the singing band union, we have not been able to buy a bus so if under our leadership we are able to buy a bus it will be of great joy to us as a union”.

“We have also been tasked by the Presbyterian Church to visit our brothers and sister in prison, some of the people are in prison not because they are guilty but just that he or she was not able to provide evidence of not guilty. For sometime now the singing band union has been supporting inmate across the country”, he added.

Again, we will be having our 60th anniversary national conference in Accra this year at Legon and all the items that we will received as gift at the conference will be taking to our inmate brothers and sisters, Nana Ofori Amanfo Diatuo I asserted.

Mr. Kwaku Owusu – Aidoo, Greater Accra Presbyterian Singing Band Union President and also chairman of the committee that renovated the singing band national office stated that they are done with 70% of the requirement needed to purchase a bus for the union which is their next project as a committee.

He said the GA Presbytery will be hosting this year’s 60th national conference which will be a week anniversary celebration in August.

Mr. Owusu confirmed that the GA Presbytery singing band union are making preparations to donate to their brothers and sisters in prison.
