Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari have written to confirm their Black Stars return

Black Stars management committee member Yaw Boateng Gyan says Sulley Muntari should receive much of the plaudits for the return of Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The AC Milan duo wrote to the Ghana FA in separate letters to confirm their desire to return to the team.

Boateng quit the Black Stars in 2011 over the claim of his ailing health in playing for both club and country.

Muntari on the other hand wrote to apologise for instigating a dressing room tirade against coach Akwasi Appiah in June?s 2014 World Cup qualifying win over Lesotho.

The Ghana FA have since accepted their letters and have welcomed them back as eligible players for Black Stars selection.

It is however the return of Boateng that has generated most of the excitements in Ghana as his immense quality will again be available for the national team.

And Black Stars management committee member Boateng Gyan who played an instrumental role in securing the return of the 26-year-old says his Milan teammate Muntari played a much bigger role and should therefore receive much of the praise.

?Yes, I spoke to Boateng?s parents in convincing him back to the Black Stars,? he told Accra-based Hot FM.

?But I think the bigger thanks ought to go to Sulley Muntari with whom they play the same team in Europe.

?He was constantly speaking to him (Boateng), always convincing him to comeback to the Black Stars.

?And now we are all happy with the results.?

The AC Milan duo are now available for selection for the deciding 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia.
